    Radeon 6870

I tried soft-15khz with the 15khz EDID dongle on my Asus Radeon 6870, it doesn't seem to work properly. Using winmodelines, I was able to get some low resolution modes working on my scart RGB CRT TV, but they all seem to flicker (=interlaced mode). Soft-15khz used to work well with my Radeon 4870 card.

I suppose the HD6000 series is the problem. HD5000 series didn't work too well either.
And you won't need a dongle with an ATI.

    Have you tried quickres http://files.arianchen.de/soft15khz/quickres.zip

double click on the extracted file, then change resolution by clicking on the Galaga "bee" in the task bar.

Windows remembers the resolution on next boot up.

I'm wanting to run the "supermodel" emulator and need a high(ish) spec card, so want to know if you can get this working with 15Khz.

Are you able to run it at 640 X 480? Thats the resolution I run mine at (Radeon 9600), cause if I drop the resolution down to 320 X 240 the text is a bit hard to read.

I run my screen behind very dark tinted glass, and you can't see the flickering then

I've been using quickres for quite a while. As I said, soft-15khz doesn't seem to work properly with this card at all. I'm able to get resolutions below 640x480 with winmodelines, but they all flicker, which is no good for me...An Amiga does not flicker at, say, 320x240 or 720x288 when using a scart RGB cable. A Radeon 9600 is a *much* older card.

Ever tried your Amiga with 640x512 resolution? Flickers exactly like 640x480.
15kHz can't display more than about 300 lines without flicker.

I know that, but I was referring to resolutions that should be progressive. Resolutions like 320x240. They did not flicker on a Radeon 4870 and older cards, everything appears as "interlaced" on the 6870.
