    Help! how to change resolution

Hello, i'm having trouble with soft15khz. I have installed it but don't know how to change the screen resolution, it is currently set at 800x600 and it is overscanning quite a bit at the top and bottom of the screen and too low resolution to be any good in windows as everything is too big. If I try and change the resolution of my screen to 1024 x 768 in the windows display settings the picture becomes split into 2 and unreadable. How do I change the resolution?. also can I stop the picture overscanning?
    thank you

Theres a tool called QuickRes in the download section that helps you select other resolutions.

Hi again, I'm using a Pal TV as a monitor, could you tell me what resolution I need so I have no overscanning, Do I put a line in the custom resolution txt?, also I'm not sure what I need to put in there, would I use a resolution like 720X576 like a pal dvd 4:3??? if so how would I add this?
I think it needs to be progressive as when I select the 1024 res in soft15khz the picture splits into two unreadable screens.
I just need a line that I can copy and paste into the txt file and then I guess I select install custom resolution in the program right?
    Thanks

    Actually every DVD has overscan

Your TV is designed to have overscan.
Sure you can trick around it with a modeline, but I don't have one of these available.

Ok, but in other resolutions i've tried it doesn't cut as much off the top and bottom of the screen as it does in 800X600 so I thought there could be a resolution I could select that the whole picture would fit in without cutting the top and bottom of the picture off.
